Auditions: Undergraduate – Flute

​​Fall 2021 Applicants: Auditions will not be held in person this year and will instead be replaced by recorded video submissions to your application portal. ​Each piece should be recorded as a separate track. All videos must be uploaded to your application portal by February 1. 


Audition Repertoire:

As an introduction to the first video, please state your name, tell us how long you have been taking private lessons and provide the name of your teacher. 

A. Scales - 3 octaves when possible, all slurred

  • B Major

  • B-flat Natural Minor

  • G Melodic Minor

  • D Harmonic Minor

B. Choose one of the following

  • Bach Sonata in E Major, Movement I or II

  • Bach Sonata in e minor, Movement I or II  

C. Contrasting piece or one movement from a work that is a concerto or a sonata

D. Additional piccolo piece or excerpt optional

Please make a recording in the listed order. Piano accompaniment is not required. Please consult the DePaul flute faculty with any questions about these requirements.​
