What types of degrees does the School of Music offer?

The School of Music provides a comprehensive range of degree programs. Students can pursue a Bachelor of Music (BM), Master of Music (MM) or Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA), as well as performance certificates and specialized programs tailored to various musical disciplines and career goals.
Studios and Areas of Study

What are the main areas of study within the school?

The curriculum is organized around several key areas of study. These include Performance (instrumental, vocal, jazz), Music Education, Composition, Sound Recording Technology, Performing Arts Management and Jazz Studies, offering diverse pathways for students.
Ensembles

What performing ensembles are available for music students?

Students have abundant opportunities to perform in various large and small ensembles. Major groups include the DePaul Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Jazz Orchestra, Opera Theatre, Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, alongside numerous chamber music groups and specialized ensembles.
