Auditions - Undergraduate: Harp

We encourage all applicants, if at all possible, to audition in-person.  

  • Live audition dates are scheduled during the weekends in February. Review list of audition dates by instrument here.
  • ​Recorded video auditions are available by request and must be submitted by February 1 to your Blue Demon Domain (for undergraduates) or your application portal (for graduates/post-masters), in the “edit portfolio" section. To enable the recorded audition submission, you may submit a request form​ for an exemption to upload a recorded audition.​​​

Audition Repertoire​

Etudes (choose one of the following)

  • ​Boshca: Etude 1 (Allegro Moderato) from Cinquante Etudes, Book 1
  • Naderman: Sonata n.2 from Sept Sonates Progressives I
  • Lariviere: 1st etude n. 36 Allegro​​​​​

Solo

  • Free choice from standard solo repertoire

Three contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice. Examples include: 

  • ​Tchaikovsky: Cadenzas from Nutracker or Swan Lake ballets
  • Bartok: Concerto for Orchestra 4th movement from 43-59
  • ​Verdi: La Forza del Destino overture

Recorded Interview Questions (only applicable to those who select a recorded submission to audition)
