Sedgwick has been involved with both American and world premieres; with Chicago Folks Operetta, she performed in the American premiere of Korngold’s Die Kathrin as a chorus member. With Gettysburg College’s Symphony Orchestra, she portrayed the role of Her in Avner Dorman’s opera for film, Now: Star-Cross’d in its live, world premiere.

Alongside Sedgwick’s operatic performances is her experience with several works of oratorio. Most notably, Sedgwick has performed as the soprano soloist in Handel’sMessiah throughout her hometown, Philadelphia. She is also an avid lover and performer of art song and chamber music. With a particular interest in music by contemporary composers, female composers, and composers from historically underrepresented groups, Sedgwick has programmed and presented several recitals with the intention of sharing their music and educating audiences.

In addition to receiving her MM from DePaul University and her BM from Gettysburg College, Sedgwick also studied in Vienna with IES Abroad where she honed her skills in Lieder and German language. Sedgwick received additional performing and training experience with the programs SongFest in Los Angeles and Orvieto Musica: Art of Song in Orvieto, Italy.

In her time away from music, Sedgwick is an active writer and gardener who prefers to spend her time in nature.
