Benefits & Services

DePaul School of Music alumni are entitled to benefits and services, both on our Chicago campuses and through community organizations.

For general university alumni resources, visit the DePaul Alumni & Friends website.

With an Alumni ID card, you gain access to the School of Music and university benefits and alumni-only discounts from DePaul partners and vendors. To request an Alumni ID card, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations by calling (800)-437-1898 or by visiting the University Benefits & Alumni Discounts webpage. Once you have submitted your request, you may visit either of our ID Card Offices in Lincoln Park and Loop Campuses to retrieve your new Alumni ID.
School of Music Alumni may use the code SOMALUMNI to reserve up to two (2) discounted tickets for most School of Music concerts. For more information, visit the School of Music Box Office website for details.

There are three ways to purchase:
  1. In person, M-F 10am-3pm at the HPC Box Office, 2330 N. Halsted St.
  2. Over the phone, M-F 10 am-3 pm, 773.325.5200
  3. Online anytime, from the School of Music website. When purchasing online, select a DePaul Faculty & Staff ticket. Once your password is reset and you log in, your tickets will automatically be discounted to the SOM Alumni price. If the correct prices don't show up in your cart, please call the Box Office.
Electronic transcripts are available to alumni who have completed all of their coursework after 1981, and paper transcripts are available to all alumni of DePaul. Electronic and paper transcripts with standard delivery are free; alumni will only be charged a fee for transcripts that are ordered with UPS shipping.
If you have a Campus Connect login, you may request transcripts here:  http://campusconnect.depaul.edu/ . All other transcript orders must be placed online through the DePaul Central Website.
DePaul Alumni have access to a subset of library services with an alumnus library account. A DePaul Alumni ID card is required for access.
For more information on alumni library privileges, visit the Library website.

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) offers a variety of certificate programs and non-credit courses designed to meet the diverse and professional development and personal enrichment needs of the DePaul University alumni community. Two FREE practice rooms are available exlusively to School of Music alumni on the first floor of the Holtschneider Performance Center. To access these rooms, you must have an Alumni ID card. For more information on policies and securing an Alumni ID, view the Music Alumni Practice Room Policies and Guidelines: 2022-2023 Academic Year.

The Holtschneider Performance Center exists primarily to support the activities of our current School of Music and Community Music Division students. However, our spaces may be rented by alumni for the purpose of performing or recording.*

To submit your request, please contact the School of Music Concert Manager, Heidi Hewitt. After initial contact, you may be asked to submit an Event Space Request. To access the submission form and view photos of our performance spaces, visit our New Facilities information page.
Please know that appointments are required to view or tour our rental spaces, and that we cannot accommodate walk-in requests to discuss the nature or feasibility of your event with our staff. Estimates will be provided if we can move forward with your request.

*While we try to accommodate new requests, student work is always our priority. Please note that we cannot properly support requests made less than six weeks before the requested event date. For this reason, all events must be confirmed at least four weeks out.
