Record yourself playing a multipart piece by yourself (link example) or with other people.
What do you need to do this?
1. Hardware
a. Your mobile device or tablet (Apple iOS only)
b. Headphones of any kind that you can connect to your iOS device
2. Software – Acapella app (https://www.mixcord.co/pages/acapella)
a. There is a $10/month subscription. Note: Only one member of your ensemble needs to have the “Premium” version of the app. This person will need to be the one to create the project in Acapella. This person will set the tempo for the project and will record the first “track” along with a metronome. When the first track is complete, the player can share the project for “Collaboration” with the other members of the ensemble, who will be able to play along to the initial track as they record themselves into one of the video frames.
b. Please see this helpful tutorial on how to navigate and use the Acapella app to record yourself and use the “Collaborate” function to let other players record their parts onto the project. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdgx0v7G_jg

How do I deliver the video?

Your post will then be shared on School of Music social media accounts.
2. Share the video with musictech@depaul.edu via Box.com. It will be shared on School of Music social media.
3. Share the video with musictech@depaul.edu via Google Drive. It will be shared on School of Music social media.
What level of effort is required?
More effort to prepare piece and set up recording devices in the right place.
If you wish to collaborate, your partners will need the app as well and you will need to coordinate time with them.
