About
Ronald (R.J.)'s career spans various aspects of the entertainment industry, all while always being attached to DePaul University. After graduating as one of the first graduates of the DePaul University School of Music's Performing Arts Management (PAM) program, R.J. worked in various aspects of live venue, live event, and artist management before coming back to DePaul to pursue a law degree with a focus on entertainment law.
After graduation from DePaul University College of Law, R.J. provided in-house legal services to a myriad of companies in the entertainment industry, building and executing legal activities, contract negotiation, intellectual property management, and commercial agreement drafting and editing. R.J. currently operates a legal practice with a mission to provide guidance and assistance through the legal and business aspects of the entertainment industry to help artists focus on what they do best: create art.
Since 2023, R.J. has taught artist management and legal issues in the music industry to undergraduate students at DePaul University.
