About
Brian Gier is the Technology Manager, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the School of Music computer lab, classroom, faculty and staff technologies and applications. He is also responsible for ensuring that the School’s technology strategy is forward thinking and aligned with the University IT organization’s goals.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sound Recording Technology from the DePaul University School of Music. He also holds an MBA specializing in Information Systems Management from Roosevelt University and a Six Sigma Quality certification. He has spent 14 years outside of DePaul working in various corporate IT departments in a wide spectrum of roles from desk-side support to technology solutions engineering.
He continues to be active in the sound recording business as a freelance engineer specializing in the recording of live choir, small ensemble and soloist performances.
