LaGrange, Kentucky native Carter Woosley holds positions as Bass Trombonist with the West Michigan Symphony, Principal Trombonist with the Opera of the Ozarks, Associate Bass Trombonist with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and Principal Bass Trombonist with the Bourbon & Brass Company. He has appeared as substitute trombone for the Des Moines Symphony. He has recorded with the Gargoyle Brass, has played sessions at the Chicago Recording Company, and can be heard in numerous DePaul Wind Ensemble recordings. He was a member of the 2019 Forecastle Symphony. Carter is currently a Pre-K Music Instructor for Mr. Music Man of Chicago, and a Brass Teaching Artist at DePaul University Community Music Division. 

He holds a Master's of Music Performance from DePaul University and a Bachelor's of Music Performance from the University of Louisville. His mentors include Charlie Vernon, Mark Fisher, Dr. Brett Shuster, Dr. Bryan Heath, Mark Kersting, Dr. Nathan Siler and Brad Rogers.
