- Three contrasting orchestral excerpts of your choice. Examples include:
- Tchaikovsky: Cadenzas from Nutcracker or Swan Lake ballets
- Bartok: Concerto for Orchestra 4th movement, measures 43-59
- Verdi: La Forza del Destino Overture
