Prescreen Repertoire - Due Dec. 1
A prescreen is required for all applicants who list jazz voice as their primary instrument. Please review our Prescreen Information page carefully before submission.
- Choose one of the following ballads: "Prelude to a Kiss", "Autumn Nocturne", "Ruby my Dear", or "Reflections".
- One medium or up-tempo swing tune, demonstrating a minimum of one chorus of scatting.
- "Blues for Alice", demonstrating melody and two choruses of scatting.
Audition Repertoire
We encourage candidates to perform different repertoire than what they performed in the prescreen round.
- One ballad
- One up-tempo swing tune (demonstrating a minimum of one chorus of scatting)
- One bossa nova or contemporary tune
- Choose one of the following tunes to play on the piano and sing: "All of Me", "Bye Bye Blackbird", "East of the Sun".
- Sight-reading material will be provided at the audition.
