- Free choice from standard solo repertoire
- Three orchestral excerpts of your choice. Examples include:
- Tchaikovsky: Cadenzas from the Nutcracker or Swan Lake ballets
- Bartok: Concerto for Orchestra 4th movement (from 43-59)
- Verdi: La Forza del Destino overture
