Prescreen Auditions
Due December 1
The following instruments require a prescreen video audition submission: cello, viola, violin, piano, clarinet, voice, and all jazz instruments.
Preparing Your Prescreen Audition
Please note: Each piece should be recorded in a single, continuous, unedited take and uploaded as an individual track. Professional studio-quality recordings are not required; however, the performer and instrument must be fully visible and the audio should be clear. Audio-only submissions will not be accepted.
Jazz applicants may use live musicians or backing tracks as prescreen accompaniment. When recording with live musicians, please ensure that the applicant is the only one to play the melody and the only featured soloist.
Please review your specific instrument's prescreen audition repertoire requirements:

Uploading Your Prescreen Audition
After your recording is complete, prescreens should be uploaded to the application portal's "edit portfolio" section. (Note: You must submit your application first in order to access the application portal. Freshmen have a 24-48 hour delay in application portal access after submitting the freshman application).

Prescreen audition results will be sent via email in mid-December. If your prescreen is favorably reviewed, you will be invited to register for a live audition.
