Application Process: Inter-College Transfer Students

Music Performance - Bachelor of Music applicants must submit the following materials by the deadline above:

1. Inter-College Transfer form.
2. One letter of recommendation representing musical abilities.
3. Official transcript.
4. Prescreen. Prescreens are required for some instruments. View the Prescreen Audition page and Undergrad Audition Repertoire by Instrument to see if your instrument requires a prescreen.
5. Due by January 15: Register for a live audition. If your instrument requires a prescreen audition, you must wait for your prescreen results before registering for a live audition. ​

Jazz Studies - Bachelor of Music applicants must submit the following materials by the deadline above:

1. Inter-College Transfer form.
2. One letter of recommendation representing musical abilities.
3. Official transcript.
4. Prescreen. Prescreens are required for all jazz applicants. View the Prescreen Audition page and Undergrad Audition Repertoire by Instrument for important information and instructions.
5. Due by January 15: Register for a live audition. You must wait for your prescreen results before registering for a live audition. 

Music Education - Bachelor of Music applicants must submit the following materials by the deadline above:

1. Inter-College Transfer form.
2. One letter of recommendation representing musical abilities.
3. Official transcript.

5. Music Education Recorded Interview Submission. Prompts will appear in your Blue Demon Domain after application submission.
6. Due by January 15: Register for a live audition. If your instrument requires a prescreen audition, you must wait for your prescreen results before registering for a live audition. 

Performing Arts Management - Bachelor of Music applicants must submit the following materials by the deadline above:

5. Interview Video Submission. Prompt will appear in your Blue Demon Domain after application submission.
6. Writing Sample. Prompt will appear in your Blue Demon Domain after application submission.
7. Due by January 15: Register for a live audition. If your instrument requires a prescreen audition, you must wait for your prescreen results before registering for a live audition. 

Performing Arts Management - Bachelor of Science applicants must submit the following materials by the deadline above:

2. One letter of recommendation representing musical or performing arts management abilities.
3. Official transcript.
4. Interview Video Submission. Prompt will appear in your Blue Demon Domain after application submission.
5. Writing Sample. Prompt will appear in your Blue Demon Domain after application submission.

Sound Recording Technology - Bachelor of Science (Performance Track) applicants must submit the following materials by the deadline above:

1. Inter-College Transfer form.
2. One letter of recommendation representing musical abilities.
3. Official transcript.
4. Brief written description of why you want to study sound recording technology.
5. Supplemental materials. Submit 2-3 files representing your work in sound recording technology.  Submissions may include any recording or video projects which exhibit an understanding of music, video, and multimedia recording and production. Files should be submitted through the Blue Demon Domain "Portfolio" section.
6. Prescreen. Prescreens are required for some instruments. View the Prescreen Audition page and Undergrad Audition Repertoire by Instrument to see if your instrument requires a prescreen.
7. Due by January 15: Register for a live audition. If your instrument requires a prescreen audition, you must wait for your prescreen results before registering for a live audition. 
    

Sound Recording Technology - Bachelor of Science (Audio Technology/Non-Performance Track) applicants must submit the following materials by the deadline above:

1. Inter-College Transfer form.
2. One letter of recommendation representing musical or sound recording technology abilities.
3. Official transcript.
4. Brief written description of why you want to study sound recording technology.
5. Supplemental materials. Submit 2-3 files representing your work in sound recording technology.  Submissions may include any recording or video projects which exhibit an understanding of music, video, and multimedia recording and production. Files should be submitted through the Blue Demon Domain "Portfolio" section.
6. Video submission performing one piece of your choice that clearly demonstrates your musical abilities. (This is different from the audition repertoire required for those applying to performance track. You are invited to showcase your musical abilities on any instrument with any repertoire. Those who are not proficient on an instrument are still required to submit a video showcasing musical knowledge, such as creating or explaining an electronic composition).
7. Online music theory test, found in your Blue Demon Domain.
    

Bachelor of Arts in Music applicants must submit the following materials by the deadline above: 

1. Inter-College Transfer form.
2. One letter of recommendation representing musical abilities.
3. Official transcript.
4. Writing Sample. Prompts will be provided by the Bachelor of Arts department after application submission. Must be submitted by December 1.
5. Prescreen. Prescreens are required for some instruments. View the Prescreen Audition page and Undergrad Audition Repertoire by Instrument to see if your instrument requires a prescreen.
