Graduate - Auditions: Harp

​​​​Applicants have a choice between two audition formats: in person auditions or recorded submissions. Though recorded auditions are accepted, we strongly encourage applicants to audition on campus to benefit from the in-person experience of meeting our faculty and seeing our facilities.

Audition Repertoire

  • Etudes (choose one of the following)
    • ​Bocsha: Etude 1 (Allegro Moderato) from Cinquante Etudes  Book 1
    • Naderman: Sonata no2 from Sept Sonates Progressives I
    • Lariviere: 1st etude no36 Allegro​
  • Solo
    • Free choice from standard solo repertoire
  • Three orchestral excerpts of your choice. Examples include:
    • ​Tchaikovsky: Cadenzas from the Nutracker or Swan Lake ballets
    • Bartok: Concerto for Orchestra 4th movement (from 43-59)
    • Verdi: La Forza del Destino overture
