If you have registered for an audition, your audition confirmation email will have the most accurate, up-to-date information.
When to arrive: Please plan to arrive at the Holtschneider Performance Center at least 45 minutes ahead of your scheduled audition time.
Travel: The Holtschneider Performance Center is located at 2330 N Halsted in Chicago. DePaul's Lincoln Park campus is easily accessible by car and public transportation. Click here for general travel directions to campus and to view a campus map.
Parking: Please see our Parking Information page.
Lodging: DePaul maintains a list of several hotels close to the Lincoln Park campus.
Check-in: Please check in as soon as you arrive. The check-in table will be on the ground floor lobby of the Holtschneider Performance Center.
Warm-up time: All auditioning students will have 30 minutes of warm-up time on the day of their audition. For fairness and space limitations, we cannot accommodate warm-up time beyond the allotted 30 minutes. We are also unable to provide practice space on campus in the days leading up to your audition.
Accompaniment: Instrumental auditions are unaccompanied. Vocal auditions are accompanied. We will provide an accompanist for all voice applicants auditioning on campus, and the accompanist will be included in a portion of the student’s warm-up time. Voice applicants must bring a printed copy of their music in a three-ring binder for the accompanist. There is no fee for the accompanist. Voice applicants may also choose to bring their own accompanists.
