History and Timeline

When was the DePaul University School of Music originally founded?

The DePaul University School of Music has a rich history, having been founded in 1912. Since its inception, it has been dedicated to pursuing excellence in both the teaching of music and the art of performance, establishing itself as a premier institution within Chicago.

What performance venues are part of the Holtschneider Performance Center?

The Holtschneider Performance Center boasts several exceptional venues. These include the 505-seat Mary Patricia Gannon Concert Hall, the 140-seat Allen Recital Hall, the 80-seat Brennan Family Recital Hall, the 76-seat Mary Dempsey and Philip Corboy Jazz Hall, the 160-seat Sasha and Eugene Jarvis Opera Hall, and the 75-seat Murray and Michele Allen Recital Hall.
