Recommended ages for beginners
  • Piano and guitar ages 9-10 
  • Strings, woodwinds, brass ages 9-10
  • Percussion ages 10-11
  • Voice age 15

Additional information

  • Tuition rates may vary depending on instrument and/or instructor
  • Students must have their own instrument
  • A traditional (non-electric) piano is required for piano students
  • Instruments may be purchased or rented from local instrument and music shops
  • Consistent practice and regular attendance at lessons are essential for successful music study

Weekly lessons of 30, 45 or 60 minutes are available depending on age, interest and ability level. 

New students and families are required to schedule an informal placement interview with the Director to assist in finding the most appropriate teacher for their needs and interests.
