About
A passionate advocate for chamber music, Melissa Snoza serves as flutist and Executive Director of the Chicago-based Fifth House Ensemble, whose mission is to tap the collaborative spirit of chamber music to create engaging performances and interactive educational programs, forging meaningful partnerships with unexpected venues, artists of other disciplines, educational institutions, and audiences of every type. Also an active educator, Melissa is Adjunct Professor of Flute at Carthage College and has been a guest speaker at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Northwestern University, DePaul University and the Brevard Conference on Music Entrepreneurship. Previous award credits include First Prize at the National Flute Associations Orchestral Audition Competition.  Melissa is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Eastman School of Music, from which she holds an Arts Leadership Certificate.
