Pat Mikos

Executive Assistant to the Dean



Pat Mikos is responsible for the administration of the Office of the Dean.  She manages the Dean’s calendar, coordinates adjunct faculty contracts, provides staff support for the Dean’s Advisory Board, assists with the major events of the School of Music, assists with summer workshops, and writes the School’s weekly newsletter, Sotto Voce.

Pat Mikos holds a bachelor of arts degree in history from Northeastern Illinois University.  In addition, she worked on graduate degrees in English, liberal studies, and computer science at DePaul University.  She has worked over 30 years at DePaul University in 12 different offices and at all of DePaul’s campuses.  In recent years, she worked on DePaul’s year-long centennial celebration and served as a community liaison with the Office of Community and Government Relations.  She served on numerous DePaul community committees, including the President’s Working Group that developed Staff and Faculty Councils and the SGA.   She was a Staff Senator and a Staff Council member for 12 years and served two years as president of Staff Council.  In her other life, she coordinated film festivals for Facets MultiMedia and served for 12 years as a jury member for student films for the Chicago International Film Festival.  She also served on the national steering committee for children’s rights for Amnesty International, coordinating activities and events for the Chicago area and presenting workshops at AI regional and national meetings.
