COVID-19 Safety

Updated 3/1/2022

Masks remain required for Holtschneider Performance Center audiences.

We recognize that both the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois have lifted mask mandates in public spaces in the recent days. At the same time, we will continue to require all audience members to wear masks inside our concert venues until further notice.  Proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test, administered by a medical professional within the past 72 hours, also remains required for entrance to a concert as an audience member.

Note that our guidelines and the concert experience may be modified at any time,  based on the latest public health, city and university recommendations.

Please visit this page before you purchase a ticket or attend your next concert as our policies are likely to change.  Emails will be sent out at least 48 hours before every performance to every ticketholder with the most recent guideline information. Please be sure we have the most current contact information for you and your guests, so we can keep you updated on our concert experience.

We are delighted to welcome you back into the Holtschneider Performance Center! We want to ensure your visit to the Holtschneider Performance Center is comfortable, enjoyable and safe.

Face Mask requirement:
DePaul University has stated that everyone on campus—regardless of vaccination status—is required to wear a face mask indoors. More information can be found here

Proof of Vaccination or Negative Test requirement:
Patrons are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or World Health Organization (WHO) in order to attend a performance in the Holtschneider Performance Center.  All patrons must show proof of vaccination and identification at their time of entry into the venue with their valid ticket. “Fully vaccinated” means the performance date must be at least 14 days after the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or at least 14 days after a single-dose vaccine.

For children under 12 and people with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination, patrons must provide proof of a COVID-19 test, administered by a medical professional, taken within 72 hours of the performance start time.

Flexibility with Ticketing:
With many unknowns, we will accommodate exchanges, credits, and refunds should you be unable to attend an event or if an event needs to be reconfigured, rescheduled, or canceled. We will work with our Ensembles in Residence and On Stage at HPC guests to help facilitate ticketing flexibility wherever possible.

Air Ventilation System:
DePaul University invested in and installed improved ventilation systems to ensure that when everyone returns, they are in a safe environment. More information can be found here

As the Holtschneider Performance Center re-opens, the university will continue with its rigorous cleaning throughout the building. Additionally, the university has built and installed many hand sanitizer stations that can be found throughout the building. More information can be found here

Digital Performances:
We understand that everyone’s experience and comfort levels are different. We want you to return to the Holtschneider Performance Center when you are ready. We are also working towards making several of our performances available digitally that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home.  More information on digital and video performances can be found here
