Traveling to the Conference Location

Parking Options

Discounted parking for Holtschneider Performance Center attendees is available at the following garages:

Sheffield Parking Facility
2331 N. Sheffield Ave.

Discounted parking for weekday events after 4pm and all-day Saturdays and Sundays is $7.25. 
Discounted parking for weekday events before 4pm is $9.25.  

Please bring your parking ticket with you to the Holtschneider Performance Center. We have a parking ticket validator at the Public Safety desk, located near the entrance on Halsted St, which will grant you the discounted parking rates.

Paid self-parking in the Holtschneider Performance Center garage is available for specific events only. For details on parking availability, please call the Box Office, M-F, 10am-3pm, 773.325.5200.

Parking is strictly prohibited on Chalmers Place and in the residential area to the west of the Concert Hall and School of Music. You will be towed if you park in the spaces reserved for residents only.

Five accessible parking spaces for those with a state-issued disabled parking placard or license plate are available on Chalmers Place, just west of the School of Music. These spaces can be accessed by approaching from the west, from Belden Avenue. You can see the location of these spaces in further detail by reviewing this map.

Driving

The Lincoln Park Campus is accessible from the Kennedy Expressway (I-90, I-94) by exiting at the Fullerton Avenue ramp (2400 North) and turning east. The campus is approximately one mile from the Kennedy Expressway on Fullerton Avenue. From Lake Shore Drive (Route 41), the campus can be reached by going west on Fullerton Avenue (2400 North) and driving about 1 1/2 miles.​

Public Transportation


Rapid Transit Lines (Chicago "L")
There are three Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) rapid transit lines that service the Lincoln Park Campus. All stop at the Fullerton Avenue station.
  1. The Red Line (Howard/Dan Ryan) crosses the city from north (Howard Street 7600 North) to south (95th Street and the Dan Ryan Expressway). There are several downtown Red Line subway stops located along State Street.
  2. The Brown Line (Ravenswood) services the north and the near northwest areas of the city. In the downtown area, several stops are available along the famous Loop El, the elevated rail line that circles the downtown area.
  3. The Purple Line (Evanston Express) is available downtown during peak travel periods at loop elevated stations and travels north to Evanston with a stop at Fullerton Avenue. The Purple Line does not operate on weekends.
CTA Buses
These buses stop near the Lincoln Park Campus:
#8 - Halsted Street: to and from 79th Street and Broadway.
#11- Lincoln Avenue: to and from Devon/Kedzie and North/Clark.
#37- Sedgwick/Ogden: to and from Fullerton/Sheffield and Cermak/Pulaski.
#74- Fullerton Avenue: to and from the Brickyard Mall and Lincoln/Webster.
