Open to high school students interested in pursuing collegiate training in classical voice or musical theatre. This
online class offers coaching in practical audition techniques for college and beyond. Topics covered include how to
prepare an audition for a BFA, BM or BA program in Musical Theatre or Classical voice; choose repertoire, prepare
‘the book;’ find the right school; and create effective self- tapes, headshots, and resumes. Students learn from each
other in a collegial, nurturing, online, and non-competitive environment. Audition preparation for both universities
and regular auditions will be included in the curriculum. Recent participants of this program have been accepted to
DePaul School of Music, Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, Roosevelt University, and Rider University.
Teacher recommendation or online audition required for admittance.
Equipment needed: audio (Bluetooth or other) speaker to play accompaniments, online access (Computer, tablet or
phone) with a camera.
