Chamber Music Program

The study of chamber music provides a rewarding musical experience for young musicians involving collaboration in small groups, a varied and rich repertoire, the challenge of part-independence, and development of musicianship skills. Open to intermediate/advanced string and piano students, the curriculum includes weekly coaching, built-in rehearsal time, masterclasses, and performances.

Coached by our exceptional faculty, ensembles are organized by interest, age, and ability. We are pleased to welcome members of the KAIA String Quartet as part of our chamber music faculty. Ensembles meet for 21 coachings and three masterclasses during the year. Students studying outside DePaul CMD are welcome to participate in the chamber music program. Pre-formed groups are welcome.
