During his 15 years as DePaul Community Chorus Director (DCC), Stephen Blackwelder has often been asked
how he chooses music for the chorus to sing. In this series of six sessions, Stephen will give a “practical singers’
guide” to famous choral masterworks that the DCC is unlikely to perform due to their length, orchestra size, or
other challenges. Works likely to be included are Beethoven’s Missa solemnis, Berlioz’ Requiem / Grande Messe
des morts, etc.
