About
Regina Syrkin has extensive experience as an accompanist, chamber musician and pedagogue. Her students have won prizes and received high honors in local, regional and state competitions including numerous gold medalists in the CAMTA Sonata-Sonatina Festival as well as winners in the DePaul Concerto Festival for Young Performers and the American Protege competition in New York. While in the Belarus, Regina was a professional pianist at the Gomel Music College and received her Masters in Music from the Minsk Conservatory. She also completed Suzuki pedagogy studies with Jasuko Joichi.


In addition to her teaching, Regina has also published several works including Early Clavier Music by J.S. Bach, Notes of an Accompanist (Minsk Conservatory Journal), and Music Reading (Keyboard Companion 2001).


Regina is a former faculty member of the Suzuki Orff School for Young Musicians as well as the Music Institute of Chicago. She is a current faculty member with the DePaul Community Music Division. ​
