About

Patrick Hartson Patrick Hartson is a graduate of Western Michigan University, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in cello performance, and is currently a Master’s student at DePaul University. In addition to his classes, Patrick has performed as soloist with the GaylordSymphony Orchestra, held a section cello position with the Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra, and received an honorable mention in the final round of the 2017 Western Michigan University Concerto Competition. He is also a member of “The Founding,” a touring progressive-folk group, where he records and performs regularly on both cello and guitar. Patrick is certified in the Suzuki Method Book 1, and is a Teaching Artist at Spry Elementary and Senn High School. He hopes to continue his studies in cello pedagogy, while also maintaining an active performing career.
