BM Peabody Institute, Johns Hopkins UniversityJohanna Moffitt moved to Chicago seven years ago with an MM and BM in Voice Performance from SUNY Fredonia and Belmont University respectively. Since then, she produced four operas with her company /kor/ productions, BOHEME IN A BAR, FALSTAFF, CARMEN and Le Nozze di FIGARO. She’s performed all over the Windy City, from Cult Camp Productions in Howland’s Little Women, to Main Street Opera as the title role in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. As a storyteller, she has performed with Lifeline Theater, You’re Being Ridiculous, and Act Yourself, incorporating music and stories from her own life. She looks forward to her upcoming production of BOHEME 2.0 - an innovative online live opera event. Johanna maintains a private voice studio and also teaches at DePaul Community Music Division.
