Originally from Québec, Canada, Laurie is a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, is a regular substitute with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, has performed with Orchestre symphonique de Québec and has been accepted onto the substitute list of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

She's currently studying at DePaul University with the Principal Clarinet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Stephen Williamson. 

As a soloist, Laurie was Semi-finalist of Concours Prix d’Europe in 2018 and 2016, Stepping Stone Canada in 2018 and Canadian Music Competition in 2015. She has won the Concerto Competition of Orchestre symphonique du Conservatoire de musique de Québec in 2015, Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Sherbrooke in 2013 and Orchestre symphonique de l’Université de Sherbrooke in 2012.

During the summers 2016-2017, Laurie was at the Pierre Monteux School and Music Festival in Maine, where she had the opportunity of performing Bartok’s Contrasts with the concertmaster of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.

Laurie has been a clarinet teacher since 2009 and has had the opportunity of being a College teacher at Conservatoire de musique de Rimouski, Québec, for a semester in 2016. 

Laurie is also a military musician in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve Band since 2012. In her free time, Laurie enjoys to having a good coffee and reading books.
