About
Grace Walker completed her undergraduate studies at Wheaton College in Music Pedagogy and Violin Performance where she won the string division of the 2016 Concerto Competition. In addition to her Pedagogy training under Dr. Beth Bauer with emphasis in music education for students with special needs, she has received Suzuki teacher training under Doris Preucil, Ann Montzka Smelser, April Losey, and Linda Case. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree from DePaul University in Violin Performance. Grace teaches violin and viola students through Wheaton College’s Community Outreach for Developing Artists program and her home studio. As a Teaching Artist in DePaul’s CPS partnership program, she works with students in Kenwood Academy High School and Spry Elementary School. She has also been on faculty for Suzuki and chamber music summer camps in the Chicago area and New Zealand.
