Charles is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Music Performance at Northwestern University, and completed his Bachelor's degree in Music Performance at DePaul University in 2016. He also spent three summers studying in Colorado at the Aspen Music Festival.

In his spare time, Charles likes to exercise. He particularly enjoys exploring the outer limits of Chicagoland on his road bike. During these mountaineering trips, he made friends with one black bear, five mountain goats, and several dozen marmots.
