Free DePaul Music Intensives

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Virtual learning together with the world-renowned DePaul University School of Music faculty.

Spend an innovative day surrounded by the School of Music faculty in Free Music Intensives. Students will enjoy collaborative experiences, including master classes, group lessons, audition preparation, technique classes, and more! Topics cover a wide range of areas and vary by each instrument area.  Faculty will join participants the evening prior for an informal welcome and introductory session.

This program is free to all interested students and recommended for ages 16 – 27.

No auditions are required. All participants should provide your instrument, years of study, and private teacher name with co​ntact information in the online application.  Links to register are listed below in each specific area.   

The Music Intensives will be held over Zoom. Here is a guide to assist you with getting the most out of your Zoom sessions.​

One of the great benefits of studying music at DePaul is the exposure you get to multiple facets of the music industry. Here, we believe in creating holistic musicians, who understand the field from a performance perspective and beyond. In this presentation, you will explore the following majors:

- Music Education with Dr. Jacqueline Kelly-McHale and Dr. Sara Jones

- Composition with Dr. Christopher Jones and Dr. Osnat Netzer

- Sound Recording Technology (which offers both a performance and non-performance track) - with Professor Thomas Miller

- Performing Arts Management (which offers a performance-based Bachelor of Music and a non-performance-based Bachelor of Science) with Professor Alan Salzenstein

- Bachelor of Arts with Associate Dean Dr. Katherine Brucher

- Music Industry: Music Business
