Summer Voice

The Summer Voice program will offer an exciting week for serious voice students seeking to refine audition repertoire through voice lessons, coaching, stage technique classes and performances.

Participants will receive lessons and coaching​ from members of DePaul University School of Music's esteemed voice faculty and coaches, as well as take part in discussions about audition protocol,  promotional materials, self-management, repertoire, vocal health and so much more! 

Students will perform in concerts, masterclasses, and studio classes with faculty all in the new Sasha and Eugene Jarvis Opera Hall inside the state-of-the-art Holtschneider Performance Center amidst the backdrop of the musically vibrant city of Chicago. This program provides a rare and unique opportunity for students to work with many of the School of Music's illustrious voice and opera faculty who are professional musicians at the top of their fields. Faculty members are updated as they are confirmed. Please submit a photograph and resume. For audition portfolio recordings, please submit two pieces, one in English and one in a foreign language. One or both pieces may be an aria. Piano accompaniment is not required or necessary.      

Limited on-campus shared housing is available for $550 for the duration of the program. In the application, please select if you would like to receive more information about housing

Tuition for the program is $1,295 (non-credit) for all students. 

While the application deadline has passed for this program, applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until capacity is reached for this program. Total fees for the program are $1,295 for program only and $550 for housing. A non-refundable 50% deposit for participation will be due by Monday, May 15, 2022. Remaining 50% will be due four weeks prior to the program start date. Payment instructions will be communicated upon acceptance.
