About
Dan Steinman is active in many areas of professional audio and sound production.  He has toured across the country working in concert sound production as a live mix engineer and system technician.  He has spent the last 15 years working as an independent recording and mix engineer with such artists as: Randy Brecker, Nicholas Payton, Taj Mahal, Frank Black, Big Bill Morganfield, Jimmy Chamberlin, and Frank Catalano.  Recently, he has specialized further into the area of audio mastering and has garnered praise for his meticulous attention to detail.  Steinman joined the faculty at DePaul University in 2001 where he teaches in the areas of audio processing, mixing, and the development of recording studios.
