Music Together

The Community Music Division is proud to be partnered with Music Together, an internationally-recognized early childhood music and movement program for children from birth through age five and the grownups who love them. First offered to the public in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.

Music Together classes feature a mix of folk songs
and traditional childhood favorites as well as playful rhythm and tonal
patterns that engage and delight children and families alike. Each
family receives a songbook and CD for each of the seasonal song
collections in the Music Together canon. Parent education and adult
involvement are incorporated into our playful, non-performance oriented
environment.

Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning. The Music Together experience is indispensable for any family looking to support their child's natural musical aptitude and help themachieve Basic Music Competence -- the foundation that forms a successful music learning experience for every child.

Ages: 9 months - 5 years old
