About
Julia Richter is an active flute teacher and performer in the Chicago area. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Portland State University, and a Master of Music Degree from the University of North Texas. Julia teaches flute at DePaul Community Music Division, and is Adjunct Instructor of Music at Elgin Community College. As a performer, Julia is the 3rd Flute/Piccolo player with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra, and also plays frequently with many other orchestras including the Milwaukee Symphony, Chicago Opera Theater, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Hawaii Opera Theater. In addition, Julia was 3rd Flute/Piccolo of the Honolulu Symphony for the 2008-2009 season, and the (renamed) Hawaii Symphony for the 2012 season.
