About
Dalia is an active performer and educator. She is very involved with the new music scene, performing with two Chicago-based ensembles dedicated to new music: Eleventh Hour Woodwind Quintet and Ensemble Vulpine Lupin. In May of 2012, she commissioned several works from Chicago composers and premiered them in a solo recital.
Dalia has participated in numerous festivals as both a soloist and with ensembles. She performed in the International Flute Festival 2008. In 2007, she was a guest in the International Credomatic Music Festival, playing next to Eole Woodwind Quintet. Most recently, she participated with her Woodwind Quintet at the Madeleine Island Music Camp and performed with Ensemble Vulpine in Chicago, New York and Costa Rica.
As an educator, Dalia is a faculty member of the Ortegon Music Studio, DePaul Community Music Division, and Woodwind teacher at YOURS project.
She holds a Post-Master Certificate in Flute Performance from DePaul University and a master's in Flute Performance from Florida State University. She studied with Eva Amsler, Mary Stolper, and has had master classes with Jonathan Keeble, Walfrid Kujala, Robert Dick, Hernan Jara, Christopher Krueger, and Alberto Almarza.
