Music Admissions
Admission to the School of Music is based on your musical and academic ability. Once your completed application for admission to the university has been received, you should schedule an on-campus audition. All music students must audition regardless of their intended major. Auditions take place in February. Audition results are reviewed and all decisions about acceptance and merit-based awards are made in late March. Students are informed of the results by April 1st. Audio cassette tapes or CD's and video tape or DVD's are acceptable for international students in cases where travel to an on-campus audition presents an extreme hardship.
All vocal applicants are required to submit a pre-audition cassette tape or CD by December 15th.
