Flute Auditions
We reserve the right to hear portions of this list in order to allow the audition committee to hear as much of the reprtoire within the allotted time permitted for the audition. Undergraduate and Graduate auditionees are not required to perform on piccolo but we encourage you to do so. An accompanist will not be supplied by the school. You may although, bring your own accompanist, please inform the audition office.
Undergraduate

Choose one movement from the Bach Sonata in E Major
Choose one solo from the Solo Repertoire listed below:

- Robert Dick, LOOKOUT
- Dutilleux, Sonatine

- Griffes, Poem
- Hindemith, Sonata, Movements I/III
- Muczynski, Sonata, Movements II/IV

Choose one solo of your choice (this can be a concerto)

All undergraduates will be required to take a short (15-20 minutes) theory placement exam following their audition.
