Studio Features: Viola

The DePaul viola studio prepares students to become musicians of the highest caliber. The studio emphasizes ensemble and chamber music experience along with the opportunity to explore a wide variety of solo literature.

The Viola Studio

    The viola studio consists of approximately 16 undergraduate, graduate, and performance certificate students. In addition to weekly lessons, students perform in DePaul's many orchestras and chamber ensembles.
    All DePaul viola students also meet for studio performance class once a week. In this class, students perform for one another, share ideas about all aspects of performance, and work in master classes with prominent guest artists.
    Past guests have included Pinchas Zukerman, James Dunham, Yitzhak Schotten, Richard Young, Karen Ritscher, Helen Callus, and Ralph Fielding.
