About

Linda Hirt made her New York Carnegie Recital Hall debut under the auspices of the Concert Artist Guild.  She has given many performances on both sides of the Atlantic both as soloist and accompanist.  In addition she has recorded for Vanguard Records and German national television and performed live on radio in New York and Chicago.

Ms. Hirt is affiliated with Centro Study Italiani, where she has been teaching and performing since 1992.  She received the Master of Music Degree "with high distinction" from the prestigious Indiana University School of Music. Her mentors include Menahem Pressler of the Beaux Arts Trio and John Wustman, long-time accompanist to the late Luciano Pavarotti.

At DePaul School of Music, Ms. Hirt’s responsibilities include coaching art song and opera as well as teaching the graduate language/diction labs in Italian, German and French.  She previously chaired the Vocal Division for ten years.
