About
Michael Green is percussionist with the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra and timpanist with the Chicago Grant Park Orchestra. He has also been principal percussionist with the Orchestra of Illinois, plays frequently with the Contemporary Chamber Players (University of Chicago), and for many years has served as first extra with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Green is active in local and national orchestral labor relations, and since 1976 has been Coordinator of the Percussion Program at DePaul. In addition to studio instruction, he teaches a course on labor and management issues in music and class percussion.
