Her music has been performed by several renowned new music ensembles such as the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), ensemble dal Niente, the Sonor Ensemble, and the iChamber Players among others.
Bolles was a Composition Fellow at Tanglewood where she studied with Mauricio Kagel, a Banff Centre artist-in-residence, and had performances as part of her participation at the Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Neue Musik (Darmstadt), the Frau Musica Nova International Festival (Cologne) and June in Buffalo (SUNY).
